Caving in Roueiss Caves – Aaqoura, Mount Lebanon.
It has lots of similarities with Afqa cave. Roueiss caves is an ideal cave for beginners to explore with the company of an expert guide. This cave is the second longest in Lebanon after Jeita, it also has large rooms with several passages that at times are narrow and low. It is possible to walk through the cave to an exit.
Water of Roueiss caves, streams snake their way through the cave and is considered as a primary water source that feed the Ibrahim River (like afqa caves). Water drips from the cave’s ceiling at various spots, creating amazing stalagmites and stalactites.
